Topic: Interface chemistry of metal/oxide: A density functional theory study

Abstract

Small metal particles supported on oxides are important systems with a wide range of applications. In this talk, I will use two examples, CO oxidation on Au/TiO2(110) and NO dissociation on M/Al2O3(0001) (M = Cu, Ag, Au), to illustrate that we can learn a great deal from density functional theory calculations about the interface chemistry in these systems.
