摘要:
Graphene and related two dimensional materials are subjects of the recent solid state physics and material sciences in the 21 century. In this presentation, we mainly present our recent theoretical works on optical and thermal properties of atomic layer materials.
In the first topic, we will discuss on Raman spectroscopy of transition metal dichalcogenides in which we focus our attention to (1) double resonance Raman process collaborated with Prof. Teng Yang and Prof. Huaihong Guo and (2) the effect of valley polarization in resonance Raman spectroscopy. In the second topic, we would like discuss (3) the thermal conductivity of graphene and (4) enhancement effect of thermo-electricity of low dimensional materials.
The presentation is given in a general introduction of the field and the talk will not go to in detail. It would be nice if I could discuss on more specific subject during my short stay in 20 and 21. This work is supported by MEXT grant, SATL (Science of Atomic Layer) Japan.
