Brief introduction:
Prof. Dorel Banabic, a famous international scholar in the field of constitutive relations of plastic mechanics, and has been committed to the research of constitutive relations of plastic deformation and the forming limit theory of sheet metal for a long time. His team developed and established a series of anisotropic metal material yield criteria named after his team members (BBC2000, BBC2005, BBC2008), which have been widely recognized by the international academic community and adopted by most commercial finite element software represented by Autoform.
He has published 16 books (11 as the first author), among which the Chinese version of the book Constitutive Model and Numerical Simulation of Sheet Metal Forming Process has been published by Science Press. He has published more than 250 journal and conference papers, served on the academic committee of more than 60 international conferences and chaired two international conferences. He is also an associate editor of the International Journal of Materials Forming and a member of the editorial board of several international journals. Prof. Dorel Banabic is currently the Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee of ESAFORM, the European Association of Materials Forming, a member of the Romanian Academy of Technical Sciences, a member of the Romanian President's Committee on Science and Technology in Education, and a member of the International Society of Production Engineering (CIRP).
Prof. Dorel Banabic was awarded the Lee Hsun Lecture Award in 2015.
