报告简介:
Nanocatalysis is promising to bring us breakthroughs. Especially the single-atom catalysts (SACs) are distinguished due to their high activity, selectivity and stability. In this talk, we will present our recent progress on computational design of SACs based on two-dimensional nanosheets for some important electrochemical reactions, namely oxygen reduction reaction, and N2 fixation. Most of our computational designs are inspired by molecular electrlcatalysts or enzymes, and the resulting heterogeneous SACs possess better durability and can be more easily incorporated into functional energy conversion devices such as fuel cells and electrolyzers. Notably our designed nanocatalysts can be experimentally realized by standard procedures, as evidenced by our recent collaborations with experimental peers. We will also briefly report our ongoing efforts on developing bi-atom catalysts. We are calling for more experimental efforts to explore the remarkable performance of these SCAs and related novel catalysts.
